Quilting can be intimidating if you've jus set upyour sewing machine and have no idea how to start!

Learn to Quilt Level 1 helps you dip your toes in with a simple and very hard-to-mess-up project - a pillowcase!

You'll get started with the rotary cutter, how to square your fabric, how to set up and get to know your sewing machine, and how to get a good 1/4 inch seam.

Learn to Quilt Level 2
You know how to use your sewing machine, but you have no idea how to sew together a quilt top.

This program dives into efficient piecing, how to put a top together, how to square your blocks, and how to line up everything so it comes out square and in neat little rows (also called seam nesting!).

You will be making a 4-patch quilt top.

Tori McElwain
With 24 years of quilting experience, I’ve seen firsthand how rewarding—and enjoyable!—quilting can be, and I'm here to help you discover the same.
I’ve spent the past six years sharing my passion for quilting through teaching and have designed quilt patterns for the last four. Starting with a few designs to fund my daily Starbucks, I quickly became hooked on helping others fall in love with quilting. With a Master’s in Education and a background in instructional design, I created the Skill Building Block of the Month program to help quilters just like you gain confidence and skills in a fun, supportive way.​
